Primary Retreat

Designing the primary suite was a holistic process that included the bedroom, master bath, and custom closet, with each space thoughtfully connected yet able to stand on its own.

We began with the bedroom, focusing on creating a strong focal point that would bring character to the space while maintaining a calm, neutral palette. The limewashed walls add depth and texture, beautifully contrasting with the wallpaper and allowing statement pieces like the chandelier to truly shine. Every material and pattern was selected to feel layered but balanced, creating a space that feels both elevated and inviting.

The bathroom was a full gut renovation, and the transformation was well worth it. Our goal was to give the bath its own identity while ensuring it still flowed seamlessly from the bedroom. This is a space meant to be lived in and enjoyed daily, not just admired. We took the time to get every detail right the first time. The reeded white oak custom vanity, paired with a Taj Mahal quartzite countertop, sets a refined foundation. Thoughtful elements like the base moldings and the arched shower entrance further establish a sense of tranquility and architectural elegance.

The primary closet completes the suite with custom white oak–finished plywood cabinetry, maximizing every inch of space while addressing all of the clients’ storage needs. Functionality and craftsmanship were key, ensuring the closet felt just as intentional as the rest of the suite.

As with any project, challenges arose along the way, but through collaboration and problem-solving, we overcame them and delivered a space that reflects both our design vision and our clients’ lifestyle. The result is a primary suite that feels cohesive, timeless, and deeply personal. As always installed and loved.
